What are the nuances of choosing hosting for a photo project?

Hi

Actually, the question is: what are the nuances of choosing a hosting for a project, the main part of the content of which will be photo reports from various events?
What is more important: server caching, CDN usage, link speed?
The audience at the start is Russia.

Perhaps someone has experience with such projects?

CDN will cover all your future needs. They will provide you with both caching and channel speed. But you only need it if you generate really a lot of static content and you need quick access to it from all places in the galaxy.
To start, a VPS with hardware for your load is usually enough and a normally configured nginx on the front with static caching.
Solve problems as they appear, use monitoring, make your system horizontally expandable and you will be happy =)

Restrictions on the number of files. It often happens that 1 photo turns into 4 under different resolutions. This is so as not to generate the desired size on the fly.
