What are the modern alternatives to FoxPro?
In general, they gave a coursework at the university, to develop an IPC (Information and Software Complex) in the FoxPro 9.0 DBMS shell environment. There is absolutely no study and work in FoxPro, as it crashes and freezes every minute. What are the alternatives that you can then continue to explore and which will be useful in the future?

What a tin ... either the teacher robbed the museum, or this is a term paper in archeology!
The modern alternative is MS Access (Win) or Filemaker Pro (Mac).
But this can be called an alternative rather conditionally, because. the real modern alternative is not desktop databases, but still databases with client-server architecture + UI to them on any basis (from fat clients, and up to web applications in the cloud).
The closest in usability to VPF 9 will be DataFlex ( https://www.dataaccess.com). It also has a form and report designer. I'll leave MS Access with its environment and development language for masochists. It will be a catastrophic hemorrhage to debug in it, to customize the form view too.
