Magento is a more flexible system, it scales better, it has initially greater built-in capabilities compared to other popular systems (Bitrix, OpenCart, PrestaShop, VirtueMart).
Extensions and templates (themes) for Magento are more difficult to create than for other popular systems.
For the development of a Russian-language store on Magento, three developers offer their products: Rugento and Mygento and myself.
Rugento and Mygento sell Russian modules for English-language Magento. The source code of their modules is closed (encrypted with ionCube), the update is paid.
I do not sell modules, but a specialized Russian-language edition of Magento ( Russian assembly of Magento ).
This edition is compatible with the official ones, you can upgrade to it at any time from the official English editions.

1) The most flexible e-shop cms has everything out of the box for the west, and what is not there is in the extensions. Of the minuses, a fairly high threshold for entering good stores. Not the best performance, but everything cuts pretty well.
2) Easy if you overcome the entry threshold.
3) If you are tied to 1c, then it is definitely easier to use Bitrix.

Pros: basic functionality at the level of Bitrix. Lots of do's and don'ts.
Cons: complete lack of community. The Russian community is miserable and has done everything to make the free engine payable. A lot of chips for the West and none for us. There are very few books in Russian
