What are the independent block layout methodologies?

I realized that the cascade is really not the best solution. And I started looking for something more powerful, I came across BEM. I like his idea, but here's the implementation, when there are a lot of classes, it's more like inline styles. What other methodologies are there besides bem?
Or examples of using bem in a superficial way (not so strict, but with independent blocks).

Inline styles are one thing, but scripts are another, bam collects everything together, and also html there with the help of i-bem.js
Examples - many Yandex projects, part of mail.ru, well, megafon.ru responsive part ;-) In general already quite a lot of sites are switching to bem.
