What are the disadvantages of the AES algorithm?
I need to somehow justify trying to improve it in my thesis.
I found this info:
The problem with AES, most extensively used encryption is that it uses many multi variant equations which are linear in nature. Thus it can be broken using algebraic cryptanalysis.

Even for a diploma - you won’t be able to improve it, and in the worst case, identity will seem like cryptography. If you have not studied cryptanalysis, you can hardly create an algorithm better than AES. If you studied, read about "differential cryptanalysis", perhaps you will be able to understand and apply something.
