Personally, I would advise you to start learning C++. It is good because it is similar to Java and functional, and it is similar to other languages ​​in many ways. There are absolutely superfluous things there, like operator overloading, there are problems with memory. It sometimes pisses me off, but it's forgivable. I studied java in general from the darkraha reference book and not very long ago. But I do not advise you, because if you do not know other similar languages, then you will not understand anything.
