What are the alternatives to Lua?

C++ / C#

Ищу скриптовый движок аналогичный Lua, Pawn, Jancy. Мне нужна встраиваимость в С++. Ну и синтаксис похожий на си. Луа сразу отмелся из-за синтаксиса, Pawn слабый по возможностям. Ну а Jancy так и не удается скомпилировать.

Я так понял, что есть два варианта AngelScript и Squirrel. Правда синтаксис белки помесь Луа и СИ. Неужели больше нет никаких вариантов? А как же вопли про большое кол-во лишных ЯП?

Lua is cross-platform since it is written in ANSI C, and has a relatively simple C API

As far as I've seen, both toys and serious programs use either Lua, or Python, or their own scripting language.
In even more rare cases, they use VisualBasic (for example, one of the graphic CADs, I don’t remember if it’s a compass, if it’s some other .... there were labs at the university, but the name was not preserved in my head).
