What are some good websites and apps for learning foreign languages on your own?

There is a desire to invest (preferably as efficiently as possible) free time in learning foreign languages - so, for general development, devoting some little time to this every day. It’s interesting “what technology has come to” on this issue in our time, what options there are. I already know English almost like a native - more than enough to use it as a base when studying others, so services designed for an English-speaking audience are welcome.
Ties on social networks are highly UNdesirable. Options with live communication are not suitable (it is extremely difficult for me to set a specific time and get in touch). I am not interested in pronunciation training - only written communication and listening comprehension (practice in my case has shown the effectiveness of this approach). Permissible price tags ≤ $ 10 at once or, if you really like it, per month.

I would recommend that you watch all the films you watch in English and with subtitles (turn off subtitles as your skill grows). Also good quality audiobooks. It's (almost) free, fun, and quite effective.

I taught myself French from scratch. First I took the Assimil textbook (it is also available for German and Italian) - there are excellent lessons and audio with good humor. 30-40 minutes in the morning is just fine. The textbook is designed for about 3-4 months - and this is the exit to level A2.
Then - I bought myself an interesting book in French and began to read, writing down unfamiliar words and phrases in the Memoword application - there you can translate immediately and save it, so that later you can learn and repeat. Further in the course of the day, she turned on her own new words - there are also cards, and there is a mode when you can just turn it on in the background and listen in a circle.
A successful strategy turned out and, well, very budgetary)))
