If the goal does not go beyond self-education and if it is in "accessible language", then pedivics will be enough for superficial knowledge.

Pretty vague question. If the author wants to understand computer hardware at the level of "knowledgeable and I know the price of technologies", there are enough articles / reviews on specialized resources
