What are some free programs for 2d skeletal animation?

I need to create character animation for a 2d game, but all the skeletal animation programs I've found are paid (and very expensive!). Tell me what are some good animation programs besides anime studio, spine, adobe flash

Alternatively, try DragonBones dragonbones.github.io is an Open Source project for 2D skeletal animation.
I'm using the Pro version of Spriter, the free version will work for your version, especially since skeletal animation will be available in it www.brashmonkey.com/spriter.htm

Synfig ( www.synfig.org/) can do this. Here's a tutorial on skeletal animation: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FX8rgPJ38AI
You can also use a 3D animation package, Blender for example. Animation examples:

But if there is no experience, 3D is a little tricky to start with.
