What are smart sockets with an open API?

There are simply a huge number of smart sockets controlled by wifi, but ALL of them are locked for proprietary software that needs either a smartphone or something else, and always the Internet.

Is there something with an open source (ideally, opensource in general) that does not need to be reflashed, and which can be used out of the box in LAN, without the Internet - turned it on, configured wifi and manage it?
Ideally, it would be possible to send a command over https at all.

ps So far, the easiest thing I see is to reflash sonoff, but since I'm rarely interested in the task, and the lineup is constantly changing there, I'm afraid that while I choose what to buy, it will become outdated and there will be no clear instructions for it. And I would like to with a minimum of body movements.
