My field is interface design for websites, applications and various platforms.
Sometimes it happens that potential customers ask me about Scrum, Agile, etc. methodologies.
What is it and what is it used for?
Does a designer need to have knowledge of these methodologies?

Agile methodologies are used to better adapt to changing requirements, when the requirements themselves are not completely known - usually this is any start-up, innovative project where the final tasks and market needs are not known.
it is especially useful for a designer to learn an "iterative" approach to development with adjustments based on feedback.
Read Jeff Sutherland's book on Scrum - and you will enjoy and understand what kind of methodology it is and how to apply it. The main thing is not to learn Scrum from articles on the Internet or scrum guide, because will form an incorrect idea, which will then be difficult to change.
