What are programmable mini keyboards?
There are some hotkeys that are needed so rarely that you don’t even remember what to click on.
The idea arose to find a mini-keyboard consisting only of programmable keys and taking up a minimum of space.
The idea of keyboards with a block of add. The keys disappear immediately - There are keys, which one does what - it is not known. Yes, and they are used for more frequent functions. Glue paper on them - spoil the appearance of the keyboard.
In this regard, I really liked the idea of \u200b\u200bthe touchpad on the new Apple laptops. For me, the ideal solution would be a similar touchpad that comes as a separate device. Glue under the monitor, draw the necessary functions. Alas, I didn't find anything like it. Picture - how such a device could look like. Pictured is Tobii Eye Tracker.
The second option is actually the keys. I found a couple of options, but they look, to put it mildly, miserable. And they are insanely expensive (For example, XKeys Stick)
What other devices of this type are there? I was already desperate to find something similar of acceptable quality on my own.

I myself was once in such a search.
There really are no such touch-sensitive LED panels (narrow and long).
As an option - use a smartphone with installed software ( such as this ), or write it yourself.
(Here I remembered the program , but apparently it is abandoned)
Two options come to mind:
And combine 1 and 2 for the best effect.
