What are pages in wordpress?
I wanted to make just a single page website with posts. I didn’t need a section with contacts or a main page - you just go to the site, and you have a tape with entries in front of you. All.
In the "pages" section, I sequentially deleted the page with contacts (I see that this section disappeared on the site), then I sequentially began to delete all the other pages ... Now I have zero pages in the "pages" section, and the site with a couple of entries is displayed on it (cache cleared). I can't figure out how? I deleted everything, why do I have something displayed at all?
I have absolutely no idea what pages are in wordpress.
If I just want a one-page feed with posts + a cloud of tags (well, inserting a widget is easy, that's not the question), what should I do with the pages?

Wordpress is originally a blog. It has blog posts and pages. Even if there is no page, blog entries will be displayed on the main page.
You now have posts set up on the main page! There must be a page. Change in the settings:
Settings-> Reading.
Pages are static, posts are dynamic. Posts with categories and tags, just like in blogs.
But if you have records, you can still open them separately.
