What android applications do you use?

I want the right selection for my phone.
A little background is also interesting:
- where did the idea to use the application come from
- what is it for and what are its advantages

There are already descriptions on the sites indicated here ,
but in order not to specifically look for and read reviews - it would be interesting to know
who came to what , while using their devices.

Calculator++ - the best calculator on Android
Barcode scanner - barcode scanner
OI File Manager - file manager
Fora dictionary - powerful dictionary
Mobo player -
OsmAnd media player -
Skyscanner maps - cheap flights (VERY convenient)
Booking.com - hotels, hostels
Pocket — bookmarks for articles
Notes++ — handy notes with categories
Jefit — program for the gym
All applications were chosen based on personal experience — put several applications with similar functionality and chose the best.
Correction - I have a ZTE Blade phone, not super fast - one of the selection criteria was not slowness of the application.

IMO and IM+ are multiprotocol messengers, I haven't chosen among them yet;
WhatsApp - SMS substitute (like Skype for a phone);
Gtasks - task list, synchronization with Google and calendar;
Tasks - list of tasks, synchronization with Google, native ICS style;
Fing - network monitoring;
MyPhoneExploerer - synchronization with a computer (Windows) of anything via WiFi;
Zen-mani - financial control;
QuickPic - instead of the standard gallery, adequate sorting;
myClock - a normal looking alarm clock with wide settings;
Bookmate, Pocket - readers of books / articles;
SwiFTP - FTP server;
ChargeBar - charging the battery with a thin strip along the border of the screen (I warmly recommend);
PcAutoWaker - turns on the home computer when a home wi-fi network is detected (well, or manually);
USSD Checker - a widget with the amount of money in the account (well, there is a cloud of other things you can connect);
Kinopoisk, pravo.ru, last.fm, yandex.pogoda, yandex.metro - everything is clear here, web service clients.

Springpad is the most convenient note taking option I've seen. Synchronization with the free service of the same name, user-friendly interface, functionality is 100% satisfactory
Tap Money Tracker - accounting for personal income / expenses. I tried many options, this one attracted me with the most convenient form of adding expenses
Sleep as Android - an alarm clock with tracking sleep phases. A lot has already been written about him on
DrShopper Habré - compiling a shopping list. Added to the girl's favorites a link to compiling a list through the site, which greatly simplified the campaign for
ES products. Explorer is a file manager. I can’t say for sure which is better than others, I just use it for a long time and I like everything.
QuickSSHd- starts the SSH daemon on the device for access via WiFi
Astro Player - audio player. What were the requirements when choosing: immediately after the start, the playlist is on top and the control buttons are on the bottom, the ability to play folders / subfolders. In addition, I got themes, an equalizer, playlists and a bunch of other features that I don’t actually use. The main thing is that they do not interfere.

FBReader - used it on WinMobile, IMHO the best reader.
Twitter - no comments. I prefer the official client because I have enough of it and because it's official :-)
Google+ - point blank I don't understand why Google+ is needed. The app stands solely for syncing photos to a Google+ album.
Dolphin Browser Mini is a lightweight and user-friendly browser.
Barcode Scanner - also without comment.

The Photographer's Ephemeris - allows you to plan the time for your photo shoots: amazing sunrises and sunsets to the nearest second on any day, anywhere in the world.
HDR Camera+ - Take HDR photos with your phone. In a number of cases I got very interesting pictures, once it turned out better than HDR from the same point with my combat camera.
ProCapture - Camera & Panorama - with this program I shoot panoramas at the moment when I want to take a panorama, but I don’t have a combat camera with me. It glues well only when a) images are correctly joined during shooting and b) there are many contrasting key objects for gluing.
GPS Tracker Lite- creates a tracklog of a walk, after which it can be loaded into Lightroom 4 and automatically arrange photos along the route taken during this walk.
I also like MyPhoneExploerer, a colleague has already named it above. Other default programs that were installed in my LG-P500
