There are no channels in other messengers. There are all sorts of business accounts that still involve face-to-face communication with the user, and not sending one message to all subscribers at once. Well, everything is clear about groups, but these are not channels.
Facebook Messenger is part of Facebook, and Facebook Pages is more like a channel there.
It is easy to googling in size. WhatsApp has 256, but people increase the size with tricky hacks. Facebook Messenger - 250.

As far as I know, in WhatsApp you can create a group in which only specified users can post messages. Read-only access is available to other users of the channel. It is very similar to the telegram channel.
