What accessories are suitable for a DIY submersible depth gauge?

Idea: to assemble a diving depth gauge based on arduino
Why: for fun, perhaps as a prototype for a more compact device.
Question: what sensors would you recommend for measuring water pressure? Case attachment method? What to make a waterproof case? What tables to use for the ratio of pressure and diving depth in meters (for display).
Or maybe not an arduino at all?)

Such: www.bdsensors.ru/products/sensors.php
Choose the pressure range you need, and with a stainless steel membrane (marine version).
> Method of fastening to the case?
Through a bushing with sealing rings. It will take some turning work.
>What to make a waterproof case?
The simplest is a piece of transparent polycarbonate pipe with end caps. In one plug there is a sensor, in the other there are contacts for charging and connecting to a computer (under a screw cap).
> Or maybe not an arduino at all?
For a prototype, you can also use an arduino (micro or nano). If you want a compact device, then it is better to separate the board, which will have everything at once: MK, display, sensor amplifier, battery controller.

у нас был пьезоэлектрический датчик, залитый в упругий компаунд.
лёжа на дне морском писал высоту волн на поверхности. вот такая была чувствительность.

да :)
