What about math?

Good day! The other day I started reading the book "Algorithms. Construction and Analysis." And I realized one thing - it is hard for me, because of ignorance of mathematics. I have a base of 1 semester (Linear Algebra), and in fact, that's it. I do web programming. Of course, you can say that mathematics is not needed. But I want to move forward. I'm not going to fully master the above book and 4 volumes of Knut. But I have to know, understand, and apply basic algorithms (and it’s interesting for myself + it won’t hurt as a general development). In this connection, I ask the community to suggest lectures, books, problem books, for studying mathematics (they say discrete is needed) for noobs .
ZY Matan also do not know. I spent a long time at the university, I forgot everything about how they hit me on the head :(

And what prevents you from taking textbooks and manuals recommended by your favorite university? and begin to study the program on your own.
