Websockets in kivy app?

There is an Android application written in Kivy . There is a need to add functionality to it that uses websockets (client). What can be used?
Naryl ws4py , support for android is declared in the documentation, I would like to hear feedback about the rake and pitfalls from those who used it. Or would you recommend something else?
