Web panel \ dashboard for teamwork?
The bottom line - you need to organize some similarity to everyone's favorite and sunk into oblivion Springpad'a, but on your own hosting.
It is required to conveniently exchange information (content) of various kinds - text, links, pictures ( ;) ), create polls and so on. Separately, I would like to note the possibility of displaying different metrics, multi-user mode, tags, filters.
Question - please tell me, the platform on which you can conveniently (read user-friendly for the end user) put it all. Thanks in advance ;)
PS. not only free options are considered, but open source is a priority.

The order of work is as follows:
1. Functionality - specific => only own development: workflow scheme with blocks.
2. I advise you to create a REST-API for all functions and in order to be able to create various clients (web-page/SPA, webkit-app, mobile-app: Android, iOS, WinPhone, etc.).
3. For markup, I advise you to use includeHTML (it will be added within a week in terms of CSS and JS modularity) in order to easily manage visual blocks in dynamics and load / update what you need on various (client and server: websocket) events, etc.
