Web design basics?

Hello, I work as a freelancer. Basically layout, landing on CMS. As always, there is not enough money (they are always not enough ...) I
plan to start making turnkey websites, but
1. I don’t want to look for a designer. Eternally hopes that he will be: online, free, 'not an asshole'. I do not want . It’s better to do it yourself
2. There is no time or desire to take courses and read a ton of literature on the topic of the world of design. For I don’t need to develop as a True designer who can draw whatever you want and justify for any font. The skill of rendering the landing page layout, blog and other 'template' sites is more than enough for me.
Can you advise which YouTube channel, a site on this topic where everything is simple and clear, a course or something.

I would recommend paying attention to typography and typical website issues. You are the typesetter, and therefore even template solutions can be done well in detail (for example, high-quality application forms, heading indents, beautiful snippets, buttons, and so on) and it will not look cheap. I
recommend it, completely and without haste . The designer is not an editor, like a layout designer, and the client often does not care about the text. Understanding the basics of high-quality text, you can even catch meanings from dull shit and profitably convey them in the design of the site. So you can boldly raise a check for work, because there will be something

Yes, just take and copy other works in your project. Not in the sense of a complete copy-paste, but in terms of color scheme, typography, graphic techniques, arrangement of elements. It's not hard.
Make five of these semi-copies - and you already have a small set of tricks in your head to draw on your own.
