WEB API not returning data?

I used the web api example ( link ), everything worked, I added my own function there that performs some actions with files, it works fine, but return does not return anything, although my products function does not affect it in any way (taken from the example). At the bottom of the screenshot, you can see that the function worked and returned 1, but why does the request page freeze in the browser and return nothing?

Sorry, but it's not clear what your code does, and what you actually wanted. 1 is added to some obj, then the result is stored in a temp variable, and some products are returned. Please add a fuller listing.
