Weak integrated video card in an obsolete laptop. Is it possible to insert a discrete one?

A morally obsolete ASUS K51AC laptop with 2 cores from AMD, each with 2.4 and 4 gigs of RAM, works fine. But when you want to play igruha on classmates or run photoshop, then somewhere not sure twitching starts, but somewhere it hangs. OS is fresh. Nothing extra is worth it and I didn’t run anything extra with the same Photoshop. Video is also from AMD 256 MB HD3200. Looks like it's in her. Is it possible to insert discrete graphics cards? And if it is possible, then it is possible to do this with my laptop? Or throw him to hell?
How to find such video cards? I found out that you can put it on my laptop. I don’t know what they are technically called and how to look for them.

As I understand it, you mean external video cards habrahabr.ru/post/135239
This decision is very controversial.
1. It is quite difficult to get an external video card in Russia, which means that in addition to not small prices, you will have to pay for delivery.
2. There is a very large amount of power loss due to the conductors connecting these video cards with a laptop, while conductors without power loss are very, very expensive.
Conclusion: In this case, it would be more rational to take a new laptop, because. external video cards will hardly justify even 1/10 of their price.

There is another option to connect a discrete PCIe x16 (x4, x8) video card through such an EXP GDC device and an external PSU, but the mPCIe bandwidth will make itself felt in scenes with a large number of textures or high-resolution textures.
