Wave engine or Cocos2d-X?

Hello, not long ago I decided to try to write my own simple 2D platformer (so that after studying not to play with toys, but to try to make them myself). First I chose Wave engine, because. I’m already a little familiar with C #, but I googled and came across an interesting news (well, at least for me) that XNA is dying (I’ll explain why, Wave is an add-on to XNA itself, MonoGame), and decided that I could start with another engine, chose Cocos2d-X, should I change Wave to Cocos? (Wave, I just started to learn and I still don’t really know anything, so it won’t be very offensive)
P.S. learning a new language shouldn't be too much of a problem either. I am studying to be a programmer, and even if I have nowhere to get C#, then with C++, I will have to find a job.
P.S. With engines like Unity, UDK, please don’t suggest I want to write more with pens, it’s much more interesting

@Airat1995

Take Cocos2d-X, it has a lot of good things written on it.
ps: you have no idea how much code you have to write with pens when you make a more or less serious project on Unity :)
