Warm tube question (about the audio system)

I want to buy something like a speaker system that can be connected to a computer.
There is: $600-700, Asus Xonar D1, computer killed by Microlab Solo 6.
Want: the highest quality sound (classics, jazz, blues, rock, hard rock).

Questions:
1. Do you need passive speakers and an amplifier / receiver / (what else is there?) or computer acoustics can be a good option?

2. Is it necessary to change the sound card in order to transmit digital sound to the system and not analog?

3. Recommend good options ...

In addition, I'm interested in headphones ($ 100-150), either large and closed, or earbuds, cord length 1-1.2 (no more).

PS I'm asking the question here because there are many rich music lovers here who, I believe, have faced a similar choice.

PSS Who knows - tell me, plz, I'm generous with karma;).

From my own experience (I picked up more than one system for friends, one for myself), I will say that $ 600-700 is a very inconvenient amount in this context. Because all the time it turned out that you either take active acoustics of the SVEN STREAM Mega class for $100-200, or you already have an amplifier + passive acoustics and the price exceeds $1000. If you take the second option cheaper, then the differences from the first do not correspond to the difference in price between them. I would take good multimedia acoustics and spend the remaining money on a high-quality external DAC. Moreover, you write that you want to output digital sound from the sound system, which is correct. Personally, I have Dr.Dac2, was bought for $300. Works as a DAC + preamplifier for acoustics / amplifier for headphones. Also, the result of the sound strongly depends on your room. A good pair of active acoustics will shake a small room without problems.
As for the headphones: I can’t say for overheads, but the earbuds that struck me to the core are Yuin PK3. Literally less than a month ago I ordered them and the result exceeded all expectations! As a result, I ordered 5 more pieces in reserve (manufacturers have a bad tendency to take good things out of production), 3 of them have already been sold to friends.

Of the closed headphones, I really liked the Sennheiser HD215, which took their place of honor in my set.

I don’t know about music lovers :-) But I bought myself a Heco Victa 300 + Kenwood KRF-V6400D, just 600 killed raccoons came out. Satisfied with the sound, compared to Solo 7 - heaven and earth. I also want to buy Magnat Monitor Sub200A for movies.

Speakers (passive) - look towards www.wharfedale.co.uk . But you need to “listen” to any speakers, and preferably in your own, prepared room.
Good closed ears are sennheiser or akg. For $ 150 you can pick up for yourself ochchchen sincere.

let me give you a couple of tips (perhaps for the distant future)
1. Read the theory if you want to spend money wisely, at least in general.
2. Room and conditions. First you need to decide what and why to buy. In a small room, large floorstanding speakers may not play normally, as well as in a large one, but incorrectly placed.
If you listen to music, then you should pay attention to closed speakers with a large diffuser near the woofer. Such speakers play a little “weaker” on the bottoms, but reproduce them more clearly and accurately.
A sub, especially a cheap one, on the contrary, can only hum instead of playing music.
3. Amplifier. If you only listen to music, then you need to take only stereoamplifier. Home theater receivers will not work. They are weaker and less "musical".
4. Headphones. As recommended above, you should pay attention to the oldest manufacturers AKG, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser. From myself I recommend Sennheiser - good workmanship, cords detachable in most cases, many models.
5. Listen, listen and listen again
And you need to listen to a lot of options because everyone has a different idea of \u200b\u200b"good sound".
You also need to listen to headphones, because different models of good companies sound very different.
Normally, when listening to a composition, all instruments, even quiet and barely distinguishable, should be heard
6. I would stop at the option: PC - sound card (you can use an external one, then you won't need to pull audio wires from the PC) - stereo amplifier - speakers.
