VPS/SSD/KVM server - Where to put nginx and php5.6?

Weak in server administration.
There is a VPS server, it has:

• OS: CentOS 6.5 (Final)
  
• Parallels Plesk Panel 12.0.18
  

I want to update via ssh version of nginx, php is safe for the installed software.
Where to put everything?

nginx can be enabled directly from the splash, php, as far as I remember, you can put a newer one there using splash tools, and not the OS itself.
