Actually between two budget Mikrotik L2TP / IPsec channel. We noticed that the vpn-channel at 100Mbps of the Internet does not rise above 20Mbps.
After reading the Mikrotik forum, it became clear that there are two problems here: CPU load and, oddly enough, the problem of the software of the routers themselves (for 2016/2017). on both devices. A small increase was given by the change of encryption, but still slowly. We decided to switch from budget devices to their more or less multi-core "enterprise".
Question: Is there any live experience/practice on this subject? I would not want to spend money - remove the processor ceiling and rest against the software. Thank you!
