VNC server under Ubuntu?

You need to remotely monitor the server over the network. Run there all sorts of GUI programs for work for a certain time, then watch the status of their work. There was an idea to use a VNC server for these purposes. And then the question arose which one to choose. Requirement: that it be launched before the user login into the system through the GUI. Those. the standard vino is out.
Then I started using TihgtVNC. Like what you need. But in the process of using it, a problem arose (this applies not only to the VirtualBox described in the question, but also to a lot of other GUI programs).
As a result, I am looking for a replacement for him. But I still don't know which one to choose.
