visual studio code?

Is it possible to create solutions (.sln) in visual studio code? I write in c# on linux. And the fact is that if you just open a * .cs file, auto-completion does not work, but if you open a folder from a solution (for example, with a project created in visual studio), then auto-completion works. Or maybe from mono (command line) you can create a solution? MonoDevelop doesn't work for me
