Visual studio c# problems with alt code how to fix?

I started to learn c# using visual studio and to put such signs ; {} etc. I use the alt code for example alt + 59 and everything was fine, but it is in visual studio that I press the combination of keys and it flips me to another line and gives out a sign for alt + 5 for example. How to fix or how to put these signs differently.
