Visa and higher education?

Tell me, who came across, does Russian higher education play a role when moving / getting a job abroad (USA, Germany, England). I have work experience, but I don’t have a higher one, but as practice shows, in Russia they don’t even look at it anywhere. At the very least, even vacancies in which higher education was indicated in the requirements were perfectly invited for interviews.
But they say that it is necessary when setting up abroad. Is it true? I wouldn’t want to waste so much time (of course, knowledge is great, etc., but I’m talking about specific knowledge that will be useful in my work), but I wouldn’t want to ever miss a good vacancy due to the lack of a diploma.
Is it true that they look at the diploma like that or is it a myth?

As far as I know, a tower is needed to obtain a visa, but if there is a lot of experience, then you can do without - for example, here is what they write about the h1b visa (USA)

If a foreign worker does not have the necessary education, then it can be replaced by relevant work experience at the rate of 3 years of experience per year of education.

If the specialist is unique, then most likely the employer will turn a blind eye to the lack of a tower. Try to communicate with specialists from the country/company you are interested in (you can even use personnel officers, there are a lot of them on linkedin), try asking a question to those who have already left (I can give a couple of links to bloggers from the USA, but they are easy to google)

In short - yes, a diploma is needed in order to apply for a work visa. Such laws.
