Video ranking in search engines?

Is there a general understanding of the principle by which videos are sorted in the issuance of videos on Yandex and Google for specific requests, as well as without a request - in the "video" section? I would be grateful for links and private opinions.

They are sorted according to the principle of decreasing relevance) Entities are created for “close” videos (exact and inexact copies), tags and description, if any, + index by comments are collected for each video from all sources. So you can, without “watching” the video, judge with some approximation what is happening on the video. Generally speaking, very often you can quite accurately attribute the video to any category only by the site and its subject matter. The accumulated statistics about where users come to this video from also helps.
Further, the search is reduced to the usual semantics (text search). We have not yet learned how to look at the content, but Google is already starting to recognize images in pictures (in the future - on video).
