Video card for video compositing. DDR Vs GB

In general, I finally decided to put myself a video card so as not to force the built-in one. I found two cards for the same price: GeForce GT 640 and GeForce GT 650. Their difference is that one has DDR5 and 1GB, and the second has 2 GB, but DDR3.

So the question is: what will be more important for video editing and compositing: the amount of built-in memory, or the speed of this very memory?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

PS I know that you can invest more and buy a super-duper fancy with all the goodies. But for now, video is just a hobby.

@WolFman

Take the GTX650 for about the same price.
