Versioning / MySQL Replication ?

there is a shared server for development.
each developer has its own local enviroment with its own database.

there is a wish to solve two moments
1. It would be desirable to have an actual DB from dev servers on development machines.
At the same time, the data that the developer puts into the database locally, should not get into the central dev base,

can replication of the database solve this problem? from dev to locale sandbox.

2. I would like to have something that gives skv for text files (source code), but for the base.
Under the condition that the size of the database is large. several GB (in the max. clamped structure + data in the sql file 2.5 GB).
And at least the versioning of the structure.
But the solution is sought as automated as possible.

Those. it is obvious that with a change in the structure of the database, the dump can also be controlled by a regular hard currency, but maybe there is a different approach?

Are there solutions for these issues?

1. this is the usual master-slave replication.
changes from the master go to the slave, aso the slave does not go to the master.
