VDS, domains, BIND and all-all-all?
Hello. Bought a domain. Then I took VDS from iphoster. But there is such a problem that all my experience of linking a domain to hosting came down to entering this domain in a user account (for example, as in timeweb). There is no such "freebie" here. Naked vds and do what you want. They gave me dns servers (for each vds their own) and I drove them into the settings of the domain registrar.
In order to somehow simplify the task, I rolled up webmin and got to deal with the BIND server (as far as I understood, this is what I need). It seems that now the domain leads to port 80 vds (nginx + unicorn). And then I still didn’t understand how I did it - I tried to create master, slave, forward.
But I need to use subdomains. Configs for them have been successfully created and are waiting for their moment. What needs to be done from the BIND(master, slave, forward?) side. Just adding a primary domain and creating virtual hosts doesn't work. Yes, and I remember that in the same timeweb I created subdomains for each domain. I would love to get it sorted out once and for all.

You do not need to bind, register on some ypdns, or on Yandex domains (or whatever this service is called?).
If you don't want to suffer, create an account on pdd.yandex.ru. Do everything according to the instructions. and then add an A record to the dns with the IP of your vds.
There is a nuance to the Yandex account, and I described it in this comment. In short: If you decide to use something else other than Yandex, there will be small problems (it was relevant at the time of my correspondence with them).
If you just need a dns server for your sites, you can use NSD. There are few resources and a very simple setup. Here is the link where it was recommended to me.
iphoster does not give its dns? And the 2nd IP? Look in the direction of powerdns (uses mysql to store zones), it's easier to bind and is controlled from the web interface, it's convenient. Hosters have been giving 2-3 DNS servers in addition to VDS for a long time, because if your VDS falls, the domains do not sober up, and when DNS is on your server, there is such a risk.
