Variables in CSS3 are already supported by Firefox, what about other browsers?

Hello everyone, recently Firefox started supporting CSS variables. Here's a good example of that .
What about other browsers? When will they include support for variables, and we will be able to fully use it in our projects?

Goddess kitties. Now all normal projects are built with gulp/grunt/webpack/etc and use less/scss/etc.
What is the problem?
CSS doesn't have mixins/nesting/loops - SASS does.
Sprite assembly, autoprefixer.. A million arguments in favor of preprocessors and collectors.
But no, people are too lazy to learn new technologies for themselves.

Not soon yet. It's a pity.
