Using data from COM port, Gate-4000

Hello.
I use the GATE-4000 controller, gate commander software. This is a Wiengard-26 plastic key access system. Now everything is connected, the software receives the history of events from the controller (who ran the key over the sensor).
At the moment, the software does not display exactly who has gained access. It just shows what time the fact of gaining access was, but does not display the user number.
But the controller contains these numbers, I want to check it out.
The program "free serial port monitor" is installed, it displays logs of requests and responses to the controller, in the form of HEX codes and text in an incomprehensible encoding, for example:

Запрос:26.02.2014 13:20:08.99664 (+0.0000 seconds)
 FA 01 01 04 00 D0 04 00 08 D8 F5 ú....Ã...Øõ
Ответ:26.02.2014 13:20:08.01164 (+0.0000 seconds)
 FA 7F 00 01 01 04 00 70 00 00 74 F5 ú.....p..tõ

The general text of the logs is quite voluminous, I can conduct some kind of experiment.
How can you match this kind of data with real data sent by the controller?
In what direction to move?
