user in Django. Which implementation is better?

Good afternoon.
I'm slowly learning Django. In the articles I found two solutions for additional data on users.
1. Extend the User model
2. Make a model with a one-to-one relationship.
The question is probably philosophical. What is the best way to use? Or for what situations (tasks) is each path suitable?
