Used iPad as a reader of technical literature. What is your experience?

Faced with the fact that it is difficult to perceive technical literature from a PC monitor, in many respects psychologically - separation is required: on the monitor screen - a code editor, on the table - a book.
Printed publications are expensive, I looked towards readers, but I realized that reading technical literature on 6" E-ink is masochism.
I am looking towards buying a used iPad / iPad2
If you had experience using this device as a reader, describe your experience Please,
and recommend some convenient reading apps right away. Thank you.

I read with ipad 2017 9.7
The screen is good, it's not that expensive. Reads well for an hour a day.
For PDF, I use Adobe Pdf Reader, I didn’t find anything better for pdf.
The downside, of course, is the weight, standing in the subway, the hand gets tired of holding
. Before that, there was an e-book, pdf, only if it was divided into 2-3 screens in the landscape version, but the tablet is many times more convenient.

I am writing from an iPad (true Pro 10.5 '), bought two months ago just for reading technical literature. I am completely satisfied with the purchase, I am already starting to forget about the existing Amazon Kindle.
For reading I use iBooks standard. Well, the application from Amazon, because. there are a lot of books left in the cloud.
P / s I also got an Apple Pencil from the previous owner. Easy to take notes and sketch!
P/p/s well, in addition, sticking to YouTube has become more pleasant than on the phone;)
