Used goods from ebay over 1000 euros, post office and customs

There is an audio processor (a thing to improve sound, etc.), on ebay the price for it is $1500 + shipping $150. This device is no longer on sale at all, but the price for it was somewhere around $3500.
What exactly will customs do? And if you specify the value of the goods up to 1000 euros? And is shipping included in the price?

whether used or not.
If the product is more than 1000 euros - for example 1200 - then I think it's better to honestly write how much it costs. It's just that when you receive the parcel, you will be billed from customs - in this case, 30% of 200 euros - not such an astronomical amount.
Pay in the same place - at the post office.
Regarding insurance, I certainly doubt that it is worth worrying - as you know, the sender always receives insurance - and in the case of a store from abroad, he still has very little chance of getting it. And he will not sue our mail.
Haven't heard of anyone getting it yet.
So you can assume it doesn't exist.
But to underestimate the cost of goods is still not worth it - it's still a violation of the law. We already have very favorable conditions for shopping abroad.
But this is just my opinion.

This is a double-edged sword - if the product is "lost" during delivery, then if it is insured for 900 instead of the real value of 1500, then, if you're lucky, you can return only 900

They wrote me 900 for a product with a cost of about $ 5k - there were no problems. Shipping is not included :)

You can import without paying customs duties if the value of goods sent within one month to one recipient does not exceed 1000 euros and weighs no more than 31 kg. Otherwise, in terms of excess, customs duties are applied.
Those. the fee is charged on the amount in excess of the limit of 1000 euros or a weight of 31 kg. in the amount of 30% but not less than 4 euros per kilogram in terms of excess cost or weight norm. According to paragraph 1 of Art. 361 of the Customs Code of the Customs Union: “When goods are imported for personal use by individuals into the customs territory of the Customs Union, the customs value of goods does not include the costs of transportation and insurance of goods before their arrival after their arrival in the customs territory of the Customs Union.”
Regarding the indication of a low price - paragraph 2 of Art. 361 of the Customs Code of the Customs Union: “If an individual moving goods for personal use does not have the necessary documents and (or) information about the cost of these goods, or if there are reasonable grounds to believe that the documents and (or) information provided by the person are not reliable , an official of the customs authority determines the customs value of goods on the basis of price information for similar goods at the disposal of the customs authority, including on the basis of data indicated in the catalogs of foreign firms engaged in retail sales of similar goods.
An individual has the right to prove the accuracy of the information submitted to determine the customs value.
In this article, a similar product is understood as a product that has characteristics close to those of the imported product, that is, comparable to the imported product in terms of its purpose, application, quality, technical and other characteristics.

Everything will be fine. Personally, I have never seen someone on ebay write exactly what is inside (usually just tea or electronic) and rarely the real cost. As far as I remember, the monthly duty-free limit for Russia is 2000 either dollars or euros. So for any parcel will pass without duty.

If you agree with the seller (or send through an intermediary), it is better to indicate an underestimated amount in the declaration, $ 200-300. You can declare the device, for example, as broken, for spare parts. In the worst case, if the package arrives with a customs notice, you can send it back and try again.

That is, it doesn’t matter how much a new product costs - you buy a BU - and transport it across the border - BU. It is the real price of the goods for which you bought it that you indicate in the customs declaration. This is the customs value of the goods.
Only if the customs decide that you are deceiving them and underestimated the cost of the goods on purpose, they can recalculate it for you, taking into account the cost of the new goods. Then you have to prove that you really bought it for that amount.
I have not been in such situations. Google what procedures are there for this case.
But in general, my seller did not even indicate that the goods were used - and everything was fine. In the customs declaration, they still write simply: a laptop, an audio processor (or audio equipment - I don’t know which is better) - everything like that. In principle, if such goods can cost so much, then how do they know that a new such product costs more.
All that the customs officers have at this stage is the data of the customs declaration. Just try not to arouse their suspicions.

Take a closer look at polexp.com They will
deliver bypassing the post office, they will clear the customs themselves.
I drove an imac 27", at a price of $ 2000, declared it restored for $ 1000.
The PE itself carried it without problems, they themselves recommended doing this.
