US Post Office (USPS) lost a package for me, what should I do?
Tell me what to do? Friends sent me a Kindle by mail. From the states to Russia. The parcel disappeared at the second point (the second post office along the route in New York) from tracking more than a month ago.
US mail is moving out of claims, as they explained to me, such as the parcel was not registred. Can you tell me how to get these guys from the mail to work? )) Maybe someone has already encountered!

I recently ordered a collector's edition of some music from the USA, the tracking was stuck at the "dispatched to sort facility" (actually, the second point, like you). After about 4 weeks, the package arrived, and the tracking did not come to life. So don't worry ahead of time.
The shipment belongs to the sender (tautology, oh sorry sorry) until it is delivered to the recipient.
So, let the sender shake.
But if not reg. and without insurance, then the sender is to blame (to be honest, it’s not clear what the sender thought *, more or less valuable things cannot be sent without tracking, that is, you can, but you have to be prepared that you will get lost).
Author: it's too early to panic. Mail of even a good (I forgot what it is called) class goes to the Russian Federation through, it seems, Turkey, where it can lie for a month and a half.
*) in no way intended to offend a person
