Upgrade the processor, is it necessary or not?
I have a system: mother -
asus m2n32 sli deluxe
memory - ddr 2,4 gb (1 + 1 + 1 + 1) (some kind of corsair, wine rating 7x64 7.3)
video - radeon 4850, 1 gb (+ 10% overclocking) (not
nominal
cooling ,
expensive 2.75 GHz (I didn’t bother, I just set overclock + 10% in the BIOS) the cooling is also not regular, some kind of expensive, I recently bought a model, I don’t remember, it doesn’t heat up at all)
A new BIOS for the mat has recently been released. boards, and it miraculously began to support am3 and in the lists of supported processors, phenom ii x4 945 appeared (3 GHz immediately + 3.5 GHz 100% is not bad chasing))
So I thought, is it worth changing the percent to a newer one? performance is still enough, but 945 phenomena have already been discontinued, there are still in stores.
Please tell me if it makes sense to buy a new percentage, or is it time to save up wooden ones to buy a completely new PC.
ps I just didn’t notice anything revolutionary new in the hardware, except for the ssd (I noticed, bought it :))
and I don’t see the point in updating the entire system (although maybe I’m behind the times)
p.p.s. Thank you for your attention ))

p.p.p.s. Also, this article prompted me to think about changing the processor: www.ixbt.com/cpu/amd-phenom-x4-9850.shtml
the meaning of the upgrade is provided by activity. if enough - why change?
And why exactly “either 945 or an upgrade of the entire computer”? In the line of phenomena, there are more powerful specimens. If you're so into performance (probably for super computing or 3d rendering, right?), then take 975 at least.
If something in this config can be touched, it's memory. I would finish up to 6-8 gig.
