Up-to-date information on GeekBrains?
Hello!
I will make a reservation right away, before writing the question, I have already studied similar ones here!
But, they are all quite old - last year.
Tell me, please, if there is awareness - Will they give quality information on the GeekBrains resource?
Because I read negative reviews about them, but there are also positive ones.
About me - in programming - 0.1 :)
I want to change the profile of my activity and I'm torn between courses from ITMO on Web programming and online training from GeekBrains.
I look forward to your advice! Thank you!

Not so long ago I received a job offer from them like "we are looking for cool programmers for training webinars"
Ok, I called, the girl answers, we communicate, some excerpts:
Me: I have a higher education in the specialty "teaching computer science" and 2 years of teaching experience, I worked in a college in the specialty
D: The main thing is that you be a really cool programmer!
Me: How do you know that I'm a really cool programmer?
Girl: this will show the test
Me: Do I need any specialized software to host a webinar?
D: yes, we have our own software, we will send you an installer and instructions if you work for us
Me: I am running Linux, does your software run natively on Linux?
D: What is Linux?
Not a single geekbrain ;) Check out our free course https://ru.hexlet.io/courses/programming-basics and evaluate the quality and capabilities of the hexlet platform. I'm sure you'll like it.
If it's completely from scratch, then you can pass. Although there are free alternatives. I read almost every book on css and html that came out in 2015 and came to the conclusion that the best resources for self-learning are mdn and whatwg.org. In other words - practically documentation from those who set standards. The problem with all courses for beginners is that after them you will most likely have to relearn again. They strive to quickly bring you up to date without talking about pitfalls and giving only superficial information in a "game" form. I judge by a couple of courses that I took for a long time at codeacademy and some other foreign site of a similar nature. Everything is about the same there - we write elementary code from dictation (they don’t explain why it works that way), earn achievements and post them on Facebook.
About hickbrines. If you really watch their videos, then definitely not for money. Just for curiosity, look at any full course of them, since there are a lot of them on the net. If you are willing to shell out a few thousand rubles for it, then it looks like you are not "pressing" money ... Check out their introductory course on YII2. How these teachers passed their interview filtering is unclear. Eh ... I wanted to post an introductory video on YII here, but the authors seem to have deleted it after so many minuses.
As a result, since you are 0.1, you can watch, but only for free. Better save money for a good laptop.
