Unreal Engine, career and is it worth it?

Hello dear geeks) I am a designer by profession, I work in an advertising agency, I make all sorts of flyers, logos, business cards, etc.
I do not want to offend or offend professional designers, but I'm tired of it. I want and have been dreaming for a long time, though I don’t know why I didn’t do it earlier, in general, I want to completely go into game development. So. Recently I read that Unreal Engine became free. The question is this. Can I, having studied ONLY this engine, look for a job for myself and in general what can I do by studying only the engine. Or do you still need to study 3D graphics (3d max, Maya, Cinema4d), etc.
And what can I do after studying the engine at least 50+ percent.

You can try out to some office that develops 2D indies. Knowledge of the engine is not needed - because you are a designer.
