UnixODBC in Zabbix - how to resolve the conflict?

There is a task to monitor the database through zabbix (track changes in the table). To monitor and write queries from zabbix itself, I try to install unixODBC - it conflicts with zabbix-server-mysql and removes it. Without mysql zabbix, as expected, does not work.
Please tell me how to resolve the conflict or do without unixODBC.
OS Ubuntu Server 12.04, Zabbix 2.0, I install everything from the office. repositories.
