Unity3d: which language should I choose C# or JavaScript?

Hello, tell me please.
I myself write in JavaScript, I decided to study unity3d, and since there is a choice there (C#, JavaScript (not quite a javascript, but Boo is still similar (leave it for now)), I'm more inclined towards JS.
So, tell me please:

1. Is it worth betting on js when learning a unit? Or is it better to learn c#?
   
2. what pitfalls can be when learning js in a unit (for example: it is better to write plugins in c#)?
