Unable to use the USB Type-C port in all its functional breadth. Are there advertising exaggerations?

I purchased a USB Type-C hub "6 in 1" for my laptop and smartphones on Android. In this hub, I'm most interested in the ability to connect another screen via USB Type-C, and charge through it. As for the second screen for the laptop, this hub did not disappoint, everything connected perfectly through its HDMI port. But with charging ...
The seller on Aliexpress even hung an enticing picture - they say, that's how you can. True, this is with a Mac, but my Asus Vivobuk is also on the list of compatible ones there.

But it didn’t work out for me, charging via USB Type-C does not work.
With smartphones, it’s the other way around: charging through this hub is normal (although the current is somewhat less than usual), but I couldn’t display the smartphone’s screen on an additional monitor.
Maybe I want the impossible, and this functionality has not yet been implemented in current versions of USB Type-C, and it is only advertised for the future?
But maybe charging a laptop via USB Type-C, and duplicating a smartphone screen through this port is somehow still possible? How?

As for the screen for a smartphone - it depends on the smartphone. I tried to connect via type-c -> hdmi cable. Huawei nova 3 - not working. But samsung note 10 worked.
As for charging - the situation is most likely similar. If your particular laptop cannot charge from this port, no adapter will help it.
