Unable to connect via ftp configured on VestaCP?

We created ftp for the mysite.ru domain through the VestaCP panel, but when trying to connect, filezilla issues:

Ответ:	220 (vsFTPd 3.0.2)
Команда:	USER SiteFTP
Ответ:	331 Please specify the password.
Команда:	PASS **********
Ответ:	530 Login incorrect.
Ошибка:	Критическая ошибка: Невозможно подключиться к серверу

Login and password are entered correctly. Tried both in active and passive connection mode. Normal ftp mode used. Even tried to reinstall vsftpd. But the result is the same. There is no clear explanation in the logs. /var/log/vsftpd.log:

CONNECT:Client "x.x.x.x"
FAIL LOGIN: Client "x.x.x.x"

and all. Where might the problem be? The rights to the site folder were even set to 777.
