Unable to connect to a remote server via pptp protocol via dir-300?
Good day.
The problem is as follows - at home we have a DIR-300 router and a provider with the DCHP protocol (dynamic IP). A computer is connected to the router, a laptop clings via wi-fi.
There is a created PPTP connection to the server. When connecting, an error constantly occurs: 806 (win 7)
If you directly use the cable (without a router), then nothing changes.
If you distribute the Internet (wi-fi) from a tablet (3g), then it connects without problems.
Help/save. The second day I'm breaking my head, I can't even imagine where to drip.
UPD (solution).
The problem was in the established NAT from the provider. I asked them to change the protocol from DHCP to L2TP and the problem was solved!

check your dynamic IP - it is white or gray (see what IP turned out on the router, and look at speedtest.net, if different - then gray). Usually does not connect with a gray IP. You can also talk to the provider's technical support, explain that you need VPV PPTP.
