Ubuntu: Why is writing to a flash drive slow?

Colleagues, tell me, please, why is the data being written to the flash drive slowly?

If you believe the write speed indicator in Ubuntu, then at the beginning of the recording the speed is 5 mb / s, and by the end it drops 10 times to 500 kb / s.
USB 2.0 port on Asus M2N-MX motherboard. The picture does not change depending on the port or flash drive. In Win 7, data is rewritten at a speed of 10 Mb / s according to the speed indicator.

I had this problem on one of my cars. Resolved by adding "pci=routeirq" to the grub options. There is a page on launchpad about this. bugs.launchpad.net/gvfs/+bug/197762 and brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/15648/

Don't forget about delayed writing. The speed may be shown differently, because the settings for delayed recording in different systems are different.

appears only on one flash drive or have you tried a bunch of different ones? Have you tried external usb drives? If the problem is only with one flash drive, then throw the exhaust `dmesg | tail` after the flash drive is defined in the system

By the way. By one machine it was cured by connection to other port. It's kind of weird like this. They are all usb 2.0 there, but only one works without brakes.
